Since 2007, the demand for pencils has been growing at a steady clip of 6% annually. Despite smartphones and tablets invading boardrooms, pencils continue to be the ‘write’ choice for some of the biggest names in India Inc., such as G.V.K. Reddy and HDFC’s Deepak Parekh.
